2024 - The Vision is Born
Recognizing the urgent need for quality STEM education in Malema Chiefdom, we began planning a school that would serve all 14 villages of Jojoima.
Mid 2025 to Late 2025 - Community Engagement And Project Launch
Meetings with village leaders, parents, and educators helped shape the vision of a school that emphasizes innovation, critical thinking, and creativity.
Construction of the first classrooms began, marking the official start of the NYANYA STEM ACADEMY
2026-Growing Together
Our school opens its doors to students, empowering the next generation with knowledge, skills, and hope for a brighter future.
Our History:
Jojoima, located in the Malema Chiefdom of Kailahun District, is a vibrant community of 14 growing villages.
Despite the strength and resilience of our people, access to quality education, especially in STEM fields-has been limited. Recognizing this gap, we took the first steps toward creating a school that meets the modern educational needs of our children. What began as a small initiative, supported by personal savings and a vision for a brighter future, has grown into a community-driven project. Our history is a story of hope, determination, and a deep belief that education is the key to unlocking the potential of every child in our chiefdom.
